Hey, I'm Jeanne Rethore - a freelance filmmaker based in Paris & Amsterdam, ready to bring creative visions to life worldwide.

Born in France and raised in upstate New York, I’ve had quite the scenic route to filmmaking. With a degree in Digital Marketing & Business of Entertainment from UCLA, you’d think I'd be deep in the corporate trenches, but instead, I’ve swapped it for scripts and embraced the chaos of life on set. Now based between Paris and Amsterdam, I’m working my way up as a 1st Assistant Director—juggling schedules, wrangling crews, and making sure every shoot stays on track (with a little creative problem-solving along the way).

From managing high-profile creatives to dabbling in visual storytelling, I’ve always been drawn to the art of crafting narratives. This year, I’ve dived headfirst into a range of roles—from art to producing to assistant directing—across commercials, music videos, and short films. I thrive on understanding the full production spectrum, whether it's in pre-production chaos or post-production finesse.
